Share This Job:

Overview

GO Seed is looking for a Research Agronomist to join our team at our Salem, Oregon location. This is an early career research position that will expose you to many facets of agricultural research including: producer engagement, integrated systems research, grant management, economic analysis, plant breeding, farmer facing scientific writing, and soil-plant-microbial interactions. Roughly 70% of your time would be spent focused on our Partnership for Climate Smart Commodities (PCSC) grant titled, “Cover Crop Seed Production Grown with Climate Smart Wheat.” Follow the QR code or go to goclimatesmartseed.com for more details on that project.

GO Seed is the leader in sustainable solutions in cover crop, forage, and turf seed production and research. Our focus on below ground characteristics and farmer driven research objectives sets us apart from other seed companies and research organizations. We have fun evaluating alternative ideas and thinking about farming challenges from non-traditional perspectives. If you are looking to be a part of a fun-loving, hard-working, creative, scientific team, this position could be for you.

As Research Agronomist you will assist the Director of Research and Plant Breeders in daily research activities. There will be a balance between laboratory, field, and computer work. While the primary responsibility will be related to the PCSC project, there are about 20 other research projects already started that you will be asked to participate in.
