Research Manager of Iowa Branch
Brent was born and raised in Aurora, IL and attended The University of Iowa where he studied Economics and Business Administration.
He started his seed career at Seaboard Seed Company in Bristol, IL in 1990 as assistant to the Vice President of Operations. His duties included managing seed positions, procurement of packaging and regulatory compliance. By 1993 Brent was responsible for professional turf sales and operations for the Bristol, IL location of Lebanon-Seaboard Seed.
In 1995 Brent joined John Zuelzer & Son as a seed broker. As a broker, he was exposed to many leading seed companies around the world and gained valuable experience in the International business. He became a partner of Zuelzer USA in 2000.
In January 2006 Brent joined Grassland Oregon as turf and forage seed salesman. Since then, his focus has changed to forage and cover crop sales. In 2013 GO Seed established a research farm in Richland, Iowa where Brent does Turf, Forage and Cover Crop research and breeding work.”
